Man Charged in Friday Shooting Incident

The Zanesville Police Department said a Zanesville man faces several charges in connection to a Friday incident at Terry’s Tavern.

Police were called to the tavern at 700 Linden Avenue 10:30 Friday night on the report of a fight where a shot had been fired. Det. Sgt. Phil Michel said that a shot had been fired during the altercation outside the business and no one was struck by the gunfire. Sgt Michel said it’s still unknown who fired the shot outside the establishment.

Authorities said Tristan Gebhart was located a few blocks away as he fled the scene. He’s been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises, tampering with evidence and violation of a protection order.

Sgt. Michel said Gebhart was involved in the altercation inside Terry’s and was found with firearms in his possession at the time of the arrest.
