Cake Auction Day 2: Paying Homage to Norma ‘Dorbie’ Littick

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Carr Center Cake Auction is in its second day, with day 1 raising over $40,000.
Today over $2,000 was raised in honor of the late CEO of WHIZ Media Group, Norma ‘Dorbie’ Littick.
She was a community leader and a strong advocate for the Cake Auction.
Ron Bucci, long time guest auctioneer and dear friend to Dorbie says that she was the backbone to the event.

“She was the brains behind the Cake Auction. It was her idea to make sure the cake auction stayed in Muskingum County, because she knew that our community would love this cake auction. First couple years it was kind of thin but she said no if we stick with it, it will grow, $4.5 million later, the community has given to the cake auction,” Bucci said.
The money is used to support nonprofits and organizations in the community that are in need.
The Littick family plays a key role in most of the community organizations in Zanesville.
“The Carr Center needs the money to continue with their programs, the same way with the Forever Dads, you’ve also got Big Brothers, Big Sisters, you’ve got Christ Table, youve got East Side Community Ministry. The Littick family has been the key.. Dorbie Littick and her family have been the key to the success of those throughout the years and it’ll continue. As a tribute to her and to our community,” he told us.
This year’s cake auction raised $118,450 dollars.
