Elizabeth “Libby” Ridenour

Elizabeth “Libby” Edwards Ridenour, 91, of Mount Perry, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Willow Haven Nursing Home. Libby was born April 18, 1931, in Zanesville to the late George E. and Hazel Geyer Edwards.

Elizabeth worked many years at Essex Wire on Linden Avenue. She was a homemaker and loving grandmother to all her grandchildren. She always had time for them no matter what they wanted from watching television to playing outside; she was always by their side.

Libby is survived by her sons: Charles Ridenour, Dave (Rena) Ridenour, Rick Ridenour, Mike Ridenour and Jim (Christi) Ridenour; her grandchildren: Anthony (Courtney) Ridenour, Allison (Logan) Pozenel, Lynsey (Nick) Drake, Austin Ridenour and Otto Ridenour; great grandchildren: Bailey, Sadie and Baby Drake due in February.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Ridenour, who passed away April 27, 2005; her sisters: Dorothy Offenbuher, Thelma Vore, Ruth Covert, Betty Edwards, Mary Kirkbride, June Kirkbride, Bonnie Drake and Opal Hale; brothers: Harold Edwards, Robert Edwards, Donald Edwards, George Edwards Jr., William (Bill) Edwards, Bernard Edwards and Richard Edwards.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1PM Friday, January 6, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM in the Snouffer Chapel with Mr. Sam Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Forks Cemetery.
