Carr Center To Hold Super Bowl Squares Fundraiser
Zanesville, OH-
Carr Center Executive Director Becky Clawson was recently appointed President of The Ohio Adult Day Healthcare Association.
She will be leading the OADHA throughout 2023. Clawson stated that the goal is to grow the association while working with the Ohio Department of Aging and other local area agencies on aging. This will help them notice the trends they are seeing in senior care. Most of the facilities in the neighboring counties of Muskingum did not survive after Covid.
“We have the only adult day care here in region 9 of the area agency on aging. So, we obviously are one of a kind here. I want to make sure that we not only continue to be the leader of that service in our area but also help other agencies, as the state is looking to increase the number of adult day cares in the state of Ohio,” Becky Clawson said.
Thanks to the Carr Center Board of Directors, there will be funds coming in for a new disability-friendly play space across the street. There will be a wheelchair accessible walking trail, a picnic area, and much needed new parking spaces. The Board of Directors will also be putting on a Super Bowl Square Fundraiser. Clawson told us how to get a square if anybody is interested.
“Right now, there are seventy squares left for purchase. All you have to do to buy one is send me fifty dollars in our Venmo. It’s under the Carr Center. We will put your name on the list and give you a square.”
You can contact one of the board members as well to get a square. This information will also be posted to the Carr Center Facebook page. If you want to be a part of any of the additional programs the center offers, visit the website below.
