Accident on Interstate 70 West in Zanesville

Both westbound lanes of  Interstate 70 near the State Street Exit are closed  following a two vehicle accident.

According to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday just past the State Street Exit.

Authorities say the accident involved an ODOT truck and a semi.

Traffic is being re-routed onto the State Street Exit.

A Hazmat crew has also been called to the scene.
