OVI Checkpoint Planned
The State Highway Patrol said they’ll hold an OVI checkpoint in our area Friday.
The checkpoint will take place in Perry County. The exact location of the checkpoint won’t be released until Friday morning.
Lieutenant Craig Cvetan said that there were 452 OVI related fatal crashes in which 493 people were killed last year in the State of Ohio. State troopers make on average of 25,000 OVI arrests each year in an attempt to combat these drivers.
The OVI checkpoint is funded by federal grants.
