Two Vehicle Accident on U.S. 22

A two vehicle accident near East Fultonham sent one person to the hospital .

The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of U.S. 22 and State Route 345.
 

According to Steve Blake with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office, a Chevy Trailblazer was on  22 attempting to turn onto State Route 345 when it was rear-ended by a dump truck.
 

Blake says the driver of the Trailblazer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
 

He says the driver of the dump truck was cited for not having an assured clear distance ahead.
 

The accident remains under investigation.
