Food Trucks Are Coming To Downtown Zanesville

Zanesville, OH- The Community Development Department of Zanesville is bringing a new way to find food downtown.
Every other Wednesday starting in May, local food trucks will gather at the Secrest Auditorium parking lot at 11am to provide amazing and unique food.
“We’re trying to bring more lunch options to downtown as well as anybody that wants to try something different and unique. We have a lot of local families and businesses that have started food trucks in the past several years. So this is a way for them to showcase what they have,” said administrator of community development, Stephanie Winland.
Because of construction on I-70 and traffic, it has been hard for workers around the downtown area to find food options in a timely manner. This is a great way for local businesses to find new customers.
“We need to expand our ways to be able to support some of our small businesses. You see them set up here and there at other people’s locations, so why not use a municipal owned area that’s being unused at that time to encourage their business and get the exposure they would need,” said Winland.
If you have a food truck and are interested in joining, contact Stephanie Winland at the Community Development Department at 740-617-4879. You can also follow along for updates on their Facebook page.
