The Carr Center’s Cake Auction Is A Week Away

Zanesville, OH- For the first time since Covid, you will be able to see these wonderful cakes in person at the Secrest Auditorium on April 26th and 27th. This event is crucial for the Carr Center.
“Annual Cake Auction is our biggest fundraiser for the year for the Carr Center kids and seniors that are in our programs. We do this once a year, and this is the 37th year. So, super exciting, and in those 37 years we have raised over 4 million dollars,” executive director of the Carr Center, Becky Clawson stated.
The Cake Auction helps support the Carr Center’s programs throughout the year such as speech services, adult day care, their transportation program and many more. The deadline to submit a cake has been extended to Friday April 21st.
“So, we need some more entries this year. So, if you’re willing to jump in and support these programs, just know that it is going to a really good place. One hundred percent of your donations stay right here in Muskingum County because we are a locally governed, locally run organization, and we are serving local people,” stated Clawson.
If you are interested in donating a cake, you can visit the Carr Center’s website at carrcenter.org or you can contact them at (740) 453-5417. Remember, you can catch the auction live April 26th and 27th on WHIZ radio AM 1240.
