ZANESVILLE, OH – Some unique art from student artists in Muskingum County is being displayed at The Zanesville Musuem of Art.

On April 19th, the ZMA spent hours installing artwork for the Muskingum County K-12 Student Art Exhibition. Each year, art from public, private, and home school students is displayed allowing them to showcase their talents. More than 240 student pieces are being featured this year.

“I really love the chance to shine a light on the hard work that our local art educators do and how much they care about their students. It really shows itself with the caliber of artwork we have on display here.” ZMA Education Coordinator, Misty Johnson said.

The opening ceremony of this exhibition will be held Sunday, April 23rd at the Zanesville Museum of Art. The ceremony starts at 12 pm with live music performed by the Maysville High School’s Panther Tones. The event is free and open to the public and refreshments will be provided. Rewards will be given out at 1 o’clock.

“It’ll be a great time to come out with the family and just really enjoy student artwork. We have a lot of really talented students, and this is their time to shine.” Johnson said.
