Local Position Opens at OSU Extension

A new full-time position with the Ohio State University Extension Agency is open in Muskingum County.

Educator, Mark Mechling says he is currently looking to fill a 4-H Educator position. The deadline is October 6th.

"the 4-H Educator positions requires a master’s degree," said Mechling. Their main job will be to work with the youth of Muskingum County who are enrolled in the 4-H programs. "

Along with a master’s degree, the position requires strong communication and leadership skills. Mechling says there’s a process in place to choose the best applicants.

"The applications will be put all together," said Mechling. There will be a screening committee in Columbus at Ohio State University. They’ll look over the applications and do an initial screening, then well have the opportunity here locally to have a committee interview the finalist. "
