Opening Statements in Dixon Trial
The trial of an Ohio man charged in connection with the fatal burning of a woman started Tuesday at 9 a.m. in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. 34-year-old Lafonse Dixon is facing an aggravated murder charge in connection with the death of Celeste Fronsman last August near Adamsville.
Prosecutor Mike Haddox made an opening statement that lasted around 40 minutes. He explained there was a kind of love triangle between Dixon, Monica Washington and Katrina Culberson. Both Washington and Culberson have already pleaded guilty in the case. The defense’s opening statement was short and painted Culberson as troubled and as someone who led a very difficult life. Around 10:30 the Jury left the courtroom to view to scene of the incident. Stay tuned to Whiznews.com for more updates.
