2 Guilty Pleas In Burned Body Case
Two Zanesville women charged in connection with the July burning death of 24-year-old Phillip Kimbro Jr in Morgan County appeared in court Wednesday. The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 21-year-old Marcia Brittany Lee Harris pleaded guilty to two counts of tampering with evidence and one count each of abuse of a corpse and obstructing justice. Prosecutors say 21-year-old Samantha Drabik entered a guilty plea to one count of obstructing justice. Judge Mark Fleegle ordered a pre-sentence investigation in each case and continued their bond. The Prosecutor’s Office says the two were part of a group of five people arrested in the case – including 19-year-old Shaquille Davis who was charged with murder. Kimbro’s body was found along County Road 15 in Morgan County by a tree trimming crew. Davis was arrested in Zanesville on August 7th by Zanesville police in a Northside apartment.
