Harris Pleads Guilty In Burned Body Case

A third person charged in connection with the July burning death of 24-year-old Phillip Kimbro Jr. has pleaded guilty in the case.  The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office says that 40-year-old Billy Harris of McConnelsville entered guilty pleas to two counts of obstructing justice.  A third count of tampering with evidence will be dropped at time of sentencing.  Judge Mark Fleelge ordered a pre-sentence investigation. The Prosecutor’s Office says Harris was part of a group of five people arrested in the case, including 19-year-old Shaquille David, who was charged with murder. Kimbro’s body was found along a Morgan County Road by a work crew.  Davis was arrested on August 7th by Zanesville Police in a north end apartment.
