Chandlersville Man Sentenced in Stabbing

A Chandlersville man who pleaded guilty in August to a stabbing incident learned his fate in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. Judge Mark Fleegle sentenced 29-year-old Chad Brill to four years in prison.  Brill was charged with felonious assault, possession of criminal tools and aggravated burglary.  A charge of attempted murder was dropped at sentencing.  The Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office says on February 20th deputies were called to 165 Sundale Road in Norwich after multiple calls to 9-1-1 reporting yelling and screaming.  Investigators discovered a female who had suffered a cut wound.  Her name was never released, but she lives at the Sundale residence.
