Bobcats Shocked by Golden Flashes
The Bobcats arguably had more to play for Tuesday, but the Golden Flashes went out strong in their final game this season. Ohio took a 6-3 lead, but Kent State outscored them in the final three quarters to win 44-13 at Peden Stadium.
The Bobcats (6-5, 3-4 MAC) postseason hopes took a major hit, but they are still alive for a bowl bid with a win next week against UMass at home. Kent State’s (4-8, 3-5 MAC) season came to a close with their second straight victory.
Local players and Tri-Valley alums Nathan Strock, freshman quarterback for Kent State, and Matt Amicone, sophomore kicker for Ohio, were on the sidelines for their teams Tuesday.
Final:
Kent State 44
Ohio 13
