Ways to Stay Active when it’s too Hot Outside

Heat 3bc

ZANESVILLE, Ohio –  One of the best ways to beat the heat is to simply stay inside.

Those who are looking to continue their daily workout regime but, may be strained by the heat can visit the Muskingum Recreation Center. Membership Manager, Katie McNeil said they offer a variety of different resources for members and for their guests.

“We do a guest pass to the facility as well and that right now through the weekends in the summer through the end of august is half price. An adult normally would be $15 and it’s actually going to cost them $7.50 to come in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For kids it’s half price of the $10 rate which will be $5,” said McNeil.

McNeil said another one of the good benefits to choosing the Muskingum Recreation Center is that they provide two different swimming pools.

“There both inside, you can still get activity and exercise and get away from the heat and still have that summer feel to things,” said McNeil.

McNeil said they offer a $5 ‘Family Swim Fun-Day’ every Sunday throughout the year.
