Arrest Made in Licking County Case

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office said they’ve made an arrest in the death of a Licking County man.

The sheriff’s office says 31-year-old Bobbi Proehl, the victim’s girlfriend, acknowledged responsibility in playing a direct role in the death of 47-year-old Larry Hannah of Alexandria.

Proehl was arrested and booked into the Licking County Justice Center on the charge of murder. More charges may be possible, pending review by the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office.

Detectives continue to investigate whether other individuals may be involved.

The Licking County Coroner’s Office said that on June 30, the partially decomposed body of Hannah was found at 8750 Jug Street Road, in Alexandria. Initial autopsy results from the coroner’s office indicate that Hannah was shot in the head and is believed to have been deceased for several weeks before he was found.

The case remains under investigation.
