A2J Crew Dance Kompany looks to get youth involved in dancing

ZANESVILLE, Ohio - The A2J Crew Dance Kompany is getting ready for their second annual ‘Dancers Palooza.’

The event is July 30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and gives families and dance enthusiasts a chance to visit the dance studios and receive a gift package. Jill McDonald is the owner of the A2J Crew Dance Kompany and she recommends dancing for kids of all ages as a way to get in shape and make new friends.

“They get to meet some of our instructors with their families. Our competition dance team joins us and they entertain the kids. Then we feed the family free of charge with a buffet for the day. Then we will actually have our own version of ‘Disney’s Descendants’ cast in costume here to get pictures with the kids,” said McDonald.

This will be the crew’s second annual ‘Dancers Palooza.’ McDonald said at last year 120 families participated at their new location on Sixth Street. McDonald said there is no shortage in different variety of dancing.

“Tap, ballet, jazz, clog, lyrical, acro, tumbling, adult classes, baby classes, you name it,” said McDonald. “Last year we more than doubled in size. And if they join us for the ‘Dancer Palooza.’ Then we waive their registration fee for that day.”
