Wiler Named Artist of the Month

Another month has come and gone which means the first Friday Art Walk in downtown Zanesville is back.

Kelly Wiler is the ArtCoz Artist of the Month and she is the owner of Girl Upcycled Studio. Girl Upcycled is a full time working studio which means Wiler is in the studio either working on her own creations or teaching others.

“Girl Upcycled Studio is a full time working studio, that means I’m in here working on both canvas as well as furniture art. I also offer classes, locally, as well as online. I have an online art membership group called “The Creators Club” and I specialize in the intuitive art process,” said Wiler.

Wiler said what makes her studio different from others is that she has an artisan boutique within her studio.

“I think it’s important because it supports those small creators that are out there and you’re also going to find something that completely unique and different than you would find just walking into any commercialized store,” said Wiler. “We will have a special drawing Friday night so you can win an original piece of artwork a painting that I did, you can also win a necklace, a ceramic necklace from Earthen Somers Kiln, who is my sister, we also have some prints we’re going to do a giveaway for but you do have to be here to sign up from 5 to 8. ”

Girl Upcycled Studio is located at 126 Suite C Muskingum Avenue next to Weasle Boy Brewing Company.

The first Friday Art Walk runs from 5-8pm on Friday.
