ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Local produce is now in high demand at the New Concord Farmer’s Market.

John and Pauline Hawkinson are residents of Senecaville, Oh and they sell fresh produce straight from their garden and have been doing so for the last six years. Pauline said both of them are originally from Minnesota and was raised working in the garden.

“We just like gardening and we always have a garden. We have had a garden our entire life and it’s all full of good stuff that we raise ourselves,” said Pauline Hawkinson.

“We enjoy being here at the market and we enjoy the people that comes to the market, there good people,” said John Hawkinson.

One thing Pauline enjoys the most about the produce they sell is the wild berries. She said it’s even hard at times to stand in front of them at the farmer’s market, without taking a bite.

“We have cucumbers, tomatoes, black berries, raspberries, anything anybody needs or wants, we have some of,” said Pauline Hawkinson.

If you couldn’t make it out today, you can find John and Pauline at the Guernsey County Farmers Market in Cambridge on Thursday’s from 8 a.m until noon.
