If you’re seeking for a fun way to celebrate Halloween with the family, Dillon State park’s annual Halloween Spooktacular is coming up.

This howling-fun event will feature seasonal activities, contests, trick or treating, food vendors, and so much more.

“Trick or treat is a blast. We have a full campground trick or treat and everybody’s running around in their costumes getting all excited and hyped up on sugar and candy. Our full moon hike Saturday should be really fun,” Naturalist at Dillon State Park, Michael Durst said.

All the scary fun begins on Friday, October 27 from 5 to 10:30pm and will continue on Saturday, October 28, from 9am to 9:30pm. The festivities will take place at the Dillon Park Camp Store and all park visitors are welcome.

“We’ll be kicking things off Friday with an ecofriendly scarecrow workshop. Where everybody builds a scarecrow, then we have voting on it to win a prize. We’ve got things like a movie night coming up Friday. We have everything from archery and a pumpkin roll Saturday to a full moon hike and a lot of other goodies on Saturday as well,” Durst said.
