Veterans Day Parade 2023

Parade

ZANESVILLE, OH- The local community lined the streets for the Veterans Day Parade hosted by Zanesville Noon and Zanesville Daybreak Rotary Clubs. This year’s parade had 97 entries that participated with a variety of floats. The parade serves as a way for the local community to show their appreciation to those who are veterans.
“There’s everything from cars, antique cars, motorcycles, a lot of nice floats, the Rotary Club has a great float, I’ve seen some of the political, people running for office, have some nice entries out there, so it’s just a great day to come out and see everybody’s kind of creativity come to life and supporting the veterans,” says Brent Mirgon, Veterans Day Parade Chairman.Children waited eagerly on the sidewalk to collect the candy that was being thrown to them from people in the parade.“I’m a veteran myself, but it really feels good to give back, it feels good to see all of the people that give up some of their time to come down and pay these veterans homage, and to show their support and their appreciation for what these veterans have done throughout their lives,” says Mirgon. If you missed the chance to go this year, the Veterans Day Parade will return again next year on the Saturday closest to Veterans Day.
