16th Annual Race for Grace

Race For Grace 2023

ZANESVILLE, OH – People were out pounding the pavement for the 16th annual Race for Grace on Thanksgiving.

220 people took off from Grace United Methodist Church at 9 AM.

“We’re just hoping everyone has fun day,” Matt Schreiber, the Race for Grace Race Director said. “I hope everybody thinks about what they’re thankful for today while helping out a hungry community.”

Schreiber said they host the race on Thanksgiving so people can take a step back from the kitchen if they need.

“Thanksgiving is just a good time to get the family out of the house. It also gets people out of the kitchen because it can get busy in there getting dinner together,” Schreiber said. “This is just for some fun and camaraderie, and also helps you burn some calories before you go home and eat dinner.”

All of the proceeds raised from the race are going to Eastside Community Ministry’s food pantry and also to the Zanesville Noon Rotary’s Healthy Body, Healthy Minds program.
