Busy Christmas Season at Central Trinity Church

Copy Of December Events

ZANESVILLE, OH – Central Trinity Church is preparing for a December full of fellowship and great performances.

All events are free and open to the public. Starting on December 3rd, there will be a performance by the Chancellor Choir Cantata during the 10:30 AM service.

On December 9th there will be open dress rehearsals for Handel’s Messiah at 2 and 6 PM.

The following day is the real performance of Handel’s Messiah at 6 PM. Jim McLaughlin, the Director of Music at Central Trinity Church, said this is one of the most famous pieces of music.

“It’s the most famous piece of classical music,” McLaughlin said. “From the church point of view, it tells the story of Jesus’ life, from birth to death and then resurrection.”

There will also be services on Christmas Eve starting at 9 AM. Central Trinity is planning to host a special kids party for Jesus’ birthday. Christmas Eve services will follow at 4:30 and 11.

Pastor Jon Exman says not to worry if you can’t make it out to the church for the services.

“If you can’t make it out to the church you can pick up our app in the Google and Apple Appstores,” Exman said. “You can also head to www.centraltrinityumc.com and watch the live streams.”

If you are interested in checking out any of the many events Central Trinity Church is hosting, they are located at 62 S 7th St.
