Storybook Christmas Parade to Light Up Downtown

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Storybook Christmas Parade is getting ready to happen in downtown Zanesville this Wednesday.
The parade will step off from Secrest Auditorium at 6PM. Stephanie Winland, who is involved with Community Development with the City of Zanesville, says the parade will be full of Christmas cheer.
“The exciting thing about our parade is that it’s a lighted parade,” Winland said. “Downtown, at that point, will be full of Christmas lights and full of Christmas cheer.”
Santa will also be making an appearance in a vintage fire truck at the end of the parade. He will then head down to Secrest Auditorium to hear all the boys and girls Christmas wishes.
This year’s parade route is going to be different from prior years.
“The State Highway Patrol and ODOT have asked us not to close down Main Street,” Winland said. “Which of course makes sense with all of the construction. So this year we will go from 6th to Market, and then Santa will head to Secrest.”
If you can’t make it out to the parade you can watch it live on WHIZ TV beginning at 6PM on Wednesday.
