December ZAAP Artist of The Month

This December, the Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project is delighted to present Jessica Rohr as their Artist of The Month.
Rohr has been an artist for 20 years and brings her unique blend of fantasy and surrealism to Zanesville. Her art features a collection of pieces where fantasy intertwines with reality, and is deeply rooted in mythology, nature, and emotion… inviting viewers into a world of fantastical imagination.
“She specializes in fantasy and surrealism. She’ll have creatures she’s created herself, people, plants, and they’re always very interesting very intricate,” RoseMary Ludt, ZAAP Treasurer said.
Coming from a family of numerous artists, Rohr’s passion for art was nurtured from a young age. Each piece is filled with detail and storytelling elements.
“You can just look at them for a long time and see more and more detail,” Ludt said.
The Ronna Bucci and Dr. Charles Dietz Artist’s Award will be presented at the ZAAP Gallery at 7pm during the Friday Art Walk. Rohr’s art and other artists work will also be on display from 5-8pm.
