PAWS of Muskingum County Prepares for Annual Auction

ZANESVILLE, OH -PAWS of Muskingum County is gearing up for their annual auction.

The Paws Auction will take place on Saturday at the Welcome Center from 9 to 3PM. All of the proceeds from the event will go back to the organization to help spay and neuter animals.

Tammy Jones, one of the Volunteers, detailed some of the other fun events that’ll be happening at the auction.

“We’ll be having a bake sale, live entertainment by Mike Holly and we will also be having a Christmas store,” Jones said. “That’s where you’ll be able to grab your little furry friend a new sweater, toys, or bed. There will be something for just about everybody.”

You will also have the chance to meet some kittens and cats that are available for adoption. Sue Lake, another volunteer, said being able to help make a change is why she became a volunteer with Paws of Muskingum County.

“Tammy and I have worked together for a really long time,” Lake said. “So when she asked me to help out, I thought I would go to one meeting and then be done. It’s something we both enjoy doing and for me, it’s not all about helping the animals out. It’s about having a chance to get new things going in a tiny town.”
