Local Woman Brings Light to the Community with Christmas Light Display

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local woman is bringing the Light into the Christmas season.
Michelle Dobbins has been putting on a huge light display for the community for almost 20 years.
“I’ve done it for 18 years myself,” Dobbins said. “It spans over 5 decades, my dad started it and now I have done it for 18.”
Dobbins is hosting an event on December 16th called “Dobbins Family Christmas”. Starting at 5:30 and going until 7:30, you and your family can walk around, enjoy the light display, and even visit with Santa Claus. There will also be hot chocolate, cookies, and a goodie bag for the kids who attend.
Dobbins said the reason she keeps putting the display on is to be a light for the community.
“My main reason for doing this is to bring light into darkness,” Dobbins said. “I represent the light of Christ, he is the light. He was the light when he first came, he’s the light now, and he’s going to be the light at the end.”
If you’d like to check out the light display, it is located at 4380 Shimoda Lane.
