Singer Pleads Guilty; Sentenced to 10 years

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office said a Zanesville man has plead guilty to theft, failure to comply, possession of fentanyl, trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of Bromazelam.
31-year-old Timothee Singer appeared before Judge Mark Fleegle on Friday where his case proceeded directly to sentencing. Judge Fleegle handed down a penalty of ten years in prison.
Authorities said Singer was shopping in Duncan Falls when he spotted an iphone of a store employee, sitting on a cooler and took it. Store surveillance led to Singer’s identification. Surveillance was set up on his home and when he left his home he was followed back towards Philo. Deputies attempted to pull him over. Singer passed traffic, heading the wrong way through a construction zone, where he bailed from the vehicle and took off on foot. It ultimately became too dangerous to track him.
During a search of the vehicle deputies found fentanyl, methamphetamine and Bromazelam.
While a fugitive Singer was involved in a traffic matter in Washington County where his 31-year-old passenger lost her life. Charges haven’t been filed related to that crash.
