ZMC Chamber to Host Business Development Series

ZANESVILLE, OH- The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a series of sessions to help business owners.
The Chamber’s first session of events will kick off sometime in January with the Chamber Professional Development Series.
Dana Matz, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said this meeting will focus on small businesses and how to strengthen them. He detailed some of the items that will be covered during the meeting.
“There will be some banking practices,” Matz said. “some business forecasting, some accounting tips. We’ll also have somebody in from the SBDC talking about planning. Then our Chamber staff will be talking about how to maximize your Chamber Membership.”
Later on in June, the Chamber will host the Professional Development Series and these sessions will continue for the rest of the year.
Matz said the Professional Development sessions are for businesses looking to take the next step and it will be open to businesses of all sizes.
The Chamber will also host the Colleagues in Commerce Series and it will be a 3 part Series.
“Our first meeting will be on Culture and Tourism in our community.” Matz said. “We plan on kicking that off with a Lorena cruise to talk about the locks and the importance of the river in our business history. Then we’ll move on to industry and we’ll go to different businesses to see what our community has to offer. Then we will wrap things up in October with our Women in Small Business Series.”
