Former WHIZ Employee passes away

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–A longtime former WHIZ employee has passed away.
71-year-old Gary Earich of Duncan Falls, formerly of Stockport, passed away on Wednesday January 3, at Altercare Zanesville surrounded by his loving family.
Gary worked for WHIZ News for 40 years as a Television Production Manager before retiring in 2015. In his time at WHIZ he met many wonderful people, worked on countless Games of the Week, and had a large part in the 100th Anniversary Project of the 1913 Flood.
Gary is survived by his children, Alex (Lauren) Earich and Olivia (Aaron) Kirkbride; his grandchildren, Noah, Nora, and Audrey Kirkbride; the mother of his children, Mollie Winland; cousins Diane (Earich) Goode, Chris (Brea) Earich, Renee (Earich) Apperson, Becky Phillips and their children and his ‘Little Brother’ Bill Swank.
Visitations will be 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday, January 9,at the Farus Funeral Home, 383 Main Street, Duncan Falls, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 PM on Wednesday, January 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 128 South Seventh Street, Zanesville, Ohio. Rev. Andrew Wilson will officiate the service.
Military Honors will be conducted at 3PM on Tuesday at the Funeral Home by George Selsam VFW Post #1058.
