Benny “Ben” Joe Hamilton, 81 of Nashport died 11:30 PM Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Oaks at Northpointe following a lengthy illness.
He was born September 5, 1942 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Herbert George Hamilton and Ruth Arabelle Brown Hamilton.
Ben was a United States Coast Guard Vietnam Veteran. He earned his associate degree in engineering from MATC and was employed as an expeditor with Essex Wire and then later a plant manager for plant 2 for United Technologies. Ben was a member of the Masons Lafayette Lodge #79, American Legion, The Ohio Coasties, enjoyed fishing & especially enjoyed spending time with his family & pets.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Ann Moses Hamilton, two daughters, Misty (Todd Young) Hamilton and Tracy “Scooter” (Joe) Schaumleffel; three grandchildren, Chandler (Nick) Long, Tyson Dickinson and Braylen Schaumleffel; Twin sister & brother, Trena (Jeff) Graves and Trent (Vickie) Hamilton; a sister-in-law, Cookie Hamilton; several nieces, nephews & cousins and his pet dog, Emmy. In addition to his parents, Ben was proceeded in death by three brothers, Herbie and twins, Jeff & Lindy Hamilton; and a special uncle, Harold Hamilton.

Visitation will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM, immediately followed by Military Honors & Closing prayers by Chaplain Tim Patton on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Animal Shelter Society.
