House Fire On Dryden Road
The Zanesville Fire Department is investigating a fire that happened this morning. Chief Kevin Thomas says they were called to the home at 478 Dryden Road around 8 a.m. and saw smoke coming from the structure. Thomas says it took a couple of minutes to put out the blaze that started in the kitchen, but the area was gutted by the fire. Chief Thomas says one person in the home – 41-year-old Todd Gintz – was awakened by his dog and was able to escape the home suffering only minor injures and was treated on the scene. The Muskingum Valley Red Cross was called to the scene to help Gintz. The fire remains under investigation.
