Donna Laihr

Donna Diane Laihr, 75, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Altercare of Zanesville. She was born December 25, 1948, in Zanesville to the late Robert and Catherine Helsel Ferguson. She was a 1967 graduate of Tri Valley High School and retired from J.C. Penney’s. Donna served her country and protected our freedom in the United States Air Force, where she was in the Military Airlift Command.

She is survived by her husband Francis “Frank” Laihr; two daughters: Stephanie (Brian) Dickinson and Andrea (Mitchel) Shaffer; a stepson Francis Paul Laihr III; brother Rick (Kelly) Ferguson; sister Nancy (Troy) Huffman; six grandchildren: Brianna (Benjamin) Daugherty, Kendra Brown, Melissa (Denis) Washington, Zachary Dickinson, Victoria Ferrell and Dalton (Mariah) Shaffer; ten great grandchildren; and her fur grandbaby Mazikeen.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother David Ferguson.

Private services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full military honors provided by the VFW Post #1058 and American Legion Post #29. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE has the distinct honor of caring for the Laihr family.
