Body Pulled From River

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of the body of a female in the Muskingum River.  Sheriff Tom Jenkins says Thursday night his office received a report of a possible homicide on State Route 60 North of McConnelsville in Bloom Township. Sheriff Jenkins says upon arrival Deputies began their investigation which led them to believe that a 22-year-old male had killed a 46-year-old female.  Jenkins says just after 8:00 Friday morning the body of the female was located in the River.  No names are being released until charges are filed and the family notified.
