Second Victim in Buckeye Lake Capsizing Named
Authorities have found the body of a second boater presumed drowned in a central Ohio Lake after a fishing boat capsized.
A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources says searchers found the man Monday in Buckeye Lake, where the 16-foot aluminum boat capsized Friday. The agency identified him as 61-year-old Jason Lewis of Columbus.
The body of another boater was recovered Friday. He was identified as 62-year-old Gary Cook, also of Columbus. Officials said the water was only a few feet deep when the boat capsized near Millersport, but the lake was cold — about 43 degrees.
The spokeswoman says neither boater was wearing a life jacket.
