Larry Rose Sr.

Larry Samuel Rose Sr., 71, of Kimbolton, passed away, January 21, 2024, at his residence surrounded by family.
He was born June 11, 1952, in Cambridge, son of the late, Carlos Waldo Rose and Wilma Jean McKinney Albaugh. He worked as a coal miner , lumber jack and his fun job at the Hickory Flats Golf Course. Larry loved Nature, hunting mushrooms, trotlines. He was an avid golfer, stockcar racer, played horseshoes, and cards such as Euchre, Pinochle, and Canasta. Larry was a sports fan, watching the Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Vikings.
He is survived by his children, Beth (Russell) Patterson, Larry (Paula Berry) Rose Jr., Jennifer (Daniel) Miller, Karla (Jerry Tracy) Rose; siblings, Dorothy (Bruce) Gander, Gerald (Kay) Rose; grandchildren, Amy Hashman, Donald (Kiera) Kennedy, Ashley (Julio Lopez) Hashman-Smailes, Kevin (Trista) Shull, Larry (Margaret Smith) Rose III, Steven Rose, Rusty (Samantha) Rose, Kayla (Daniel) Sherrard, Courtney (Cody) Brown, Dillon (Jackie) Shull, Brandon (Savannah) Tracy, Hope Ringer, Kimberly Ringer, Daniel Ringer, Shawn Abrams, Karlee Abrams; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandchild, Lisa Stone; best friend, Ronnie Booth.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Bonnell Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 420 N. 8th St. Cambridge, OH 43725, where services will begin at 6:00 PM with Pastor Phil Murphy officiating. Cremation will follow services.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
