Crooksville Business Ravaged by Early Morning Fire

CROOKSVILLE, OH – An area drive-thru and convenience store suffered major damage from an early morning fire on Monday.

Multiple fire crews responded to a commercial fire at The Icebox Drive-thru, located at 6620 Wyatt Hill Rd. in Crooksville, at approximately 4:36 AM.

Upon arrival, firefighters say they encountered significant smoke coming from the building.

Crews say the fire escalated shortly thereafter, and it took several hours for them to extinguish the flames.

Ed Guy, the Assistant Fire Chief of the Roseville Volunteer Fire Department, said there were no injuries reported.

“It’s one small community,” Guy said. “So there’s a loss of jobs and income for the workers. It’s also a popular stop for people to grab their beverages.”

The fire is currently under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The crews that responded to the scene were the Roseville, Crooksville, Somerset, New Lexington, Newton Township, and South Zanesville Fire Departments.
