Homicide Investigation in Guernsey County
Guernsey County- The Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office said a Byesville man is in custody as they investigate a homicide.
Authorities said 58-year-old Bob Dailey is accused of assaulting a 73-year-old man at a home on Pioneer Road shortly after 10pm on Saturday, January 20. The victim was taken to the hospital due to his serious life threatening injuries and passed away Thursday afternoon at Grant Medical Center.
Dailey was initially charged with felonious assault and was being held on a $100,000 bond. Officials said now that the victim has passed away detectives will request further charges including murder be presented to a grand jury for consideration.
An autopsy has been ordered and the case remains under investigation.
