Deborah Brady

Deborah “Debby” I. (Behr) Lashley Davis Brady, aged 72, died January 20, 2024, at her home in Staten Island, New York, following a short illness.
She was born August 30, 1951, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Louis and Helen (Jenkins) Behr. Debby was a 1969 graduate of Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, Ohio. She was a bookkeeper for City Tire Service in Zanesville for many years, at Lynn C. Trowbridge CPA, and Vollmar Excavating in Muncie, Indiana, and Clemens Insurance Agency in New Castle, Indiana, as well as a home-educator and homemaker.
Debby was a devout Christian and volunteered tirelessly in the ministry of various churches, including the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Muncie, Indiana, the Baker Street Church of God of Zanesville, Ohio, the Wayne Avenue Church of God of Columbus, Ohio, and the Christian Pentecostal Church of Staten Island, New York.
Debby is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” Brady of Staten Island, New York, whom she married May 13, 2018, sons Cameron Lashley of Albany, Georgia and Deymond (Ilmi) Lashley of Warner Robins, Georgia, sisters Joy (Jim) Ysseldyke of Vinton, Ohio and Karen Behr of Tucson, Arizona, brothers Mark (Jule) Behr of Denver, Colorado and Joel (Kapuanani) Behr of Keaau, Hawaii, as well as grandchildren Andrew Davis, Makalya Lashley-Dorough, Daniel Lashley, and Raymond B. Lashley.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Bethany Hope Lashley; husband and father of her children, Raymond D. Lashley (married May 18, 1974); second husband, Herman Davis (married July 5, 1997); and sister, Linda Behr.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday January 30, 2024, from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Services will be held on Wednesday January 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM, where the family will be accepting visitors from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home. Pastor Pamela Lashley will be officiating services. Burial will follow services at Rose Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Church of God, 718 Baker St, Zanesville, OH 43701.
