Leonard Lee Brearley, 88, of Nashport passed at 11:52 P.M. Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Genesis Hospital.

He was born on Sunday, November 24, 1935 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Leonard Dwight Brearley and Iris Maxine Leland Brearley.

Leonard attended Lash High school. He worshipped at Zanesville Northside Church of the Nazarene. He was part owner of Judy’s Truck Stop. Leonard retired from Essex/United Technologies in 1998. After retiring, Leonard managed Giacomo’s Delicatessen. He was a member of the Irville Masonic Lodge #184. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals fan. Leonard loved his pets and taking care of his yard.

He is survived by his children, Steven (Pamela) Lee Brearley, Vicki (Dave) Pearison, Dwight (Vicki) Lee Brearley and Loretta Clever; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; three beloved sisters, Barbara Ann (Norm) Hogue, Sally Coen and Phyllis Hartman; many nieces and nephews; his first wife, Kay Adams; and special friend, Carole Wheldon.

In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra K. Doyle Brearley; his third wife, Marcia Horn Brearley; a daughter, Laurie Noll; two brother in laws, Clarence Coen and Danny Hartman; a son in law, Raymond Clever; and a grandson, Aaron Reemer.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Private burial will be held at Zanesville Memorial Park.
