Karen Claypool

Karen Sue (Welsh) Claypool, 65, of Zanesville, passed away at her home on Tue. Feb. 6, 2024 following an extended illness. She was born on Jan. 10, 1959 in Wooster, Ohio. She received an associate degree from Muskingum Area Technical College. She was a former member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by one daughter Kylene (Natiko) Thomas. Three grandchildren that she loved dearly Hadlee Thomas, Hyler Smith, and Liam Smith. Her mother Beverly (Welsh) Cinquepalmi and many nephews, cousins, and friends. Her best friend Millie (dog). She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Claypool. Her father Donnie Gene Welsh. One son Juran Smith. Two brothers Jerry Welsh and Tim Welsh. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sun. Feb. 11, 2024 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage. A private burial will take place at a later date.
