Amber Alert Cancelled

Columbus, OH-There’s an update Friday morning on an Amber Alert issued earlier this week.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Office cancelled the alert about 6:50am Friday just before a news conference was scheduled with Columbus Police.

Columbus Police Chief Elaine Bryant said that police located what they believe to be the body of 5-year-old Darnell Taylor in the 1000 block of Marsdale Avenue on Columbus’ southwest side.

They came to look there after police in Brooklyn arrested the suspect in the Amber Alert, 58-year-old Pammy Maye. Police were called out after a person spotted a woman walking around a building in a nightgown.  Columbus Police said Maye provided information on the location of Taylor’s body.
