Akron Man Arrested in Noble County

A traffic stop in Noble County led to the discovery of half a pound of Methamphetamines.
The Noble County Sheriff’s Office said Saturday they stopped a vehicle after observing moving violations. The deputy observed criminal indicators and an open-air sniff took place on the vehicle.
K-9 Cora alerted and indicated the odor of illegal narcotics.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of Methamphetamines and suspected Ecstasy pills.
A passenger in the vehicle, 34-year-old Darrius Heard of Akron was taken to the Noble County Jail and charged with trafficking in drugs and aggravated possession of drugs. The driver, a 20-year-old female also from Akron was released, but may face charges at a future grand jury session.
