Edgell Named ArtCoz Artist of the Month

ZANESVILLE, OH – Brian Edgell has been named the ArtCoz Artist of the Month for March.

Edgell is the owner of Lock 10 Photography and he began taking photos, just as a hobby, in 2008. In 2013 his father passed away and Edgell realized he didn’t have a lot of photos of things he truly cared about.

“I decided my new mission would be to bring the beauty around us to the forefront,” Edgell said. “That started with the City I grew up in, Zanesville.”

Edgell said he focuses on the pops of color and contrasts in the city. He also recently acquired a drone so he’s able to take wide shots of iconic places around town.

“I do the wide shots kind of to show off the entire architecture of the city,” Edgell said. “I don’t think people take the time to look around and see the style of the City. It’s a beautiful City.”

Edgell said there are too many words to describe what it feels to be named Artist of the Month. As a part of the First Friday Artwalk, Edgell will have prints of some of his photos that you can only get in person. They will also be showing off their new portrait backdrop for Easter photoshoots. Lock 10 Photography is located at 8 Main Street in downtown.
