Crosby Pleads Guilty

A convicted repeat domestic abuser admitted stalking and engaging in retaliation against his victim from behind bars.

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office said 31-year-old Kody L. Crosby is currently serving prison time in the Belmont Correctional Institution for abduction, domestic violence and witness intimidation. He appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court to plead guilty to the charges against him.

The prosecutor’s office said in May 2023, Crosby repeatedly called the victim from prison, sent mail to her and enlisted individuals to vandalize her vehicle.

Authorities said Crosby was previously found guilty of committing domestic violence against a pregnant woman in 2017 and served one year in prison. Later in September 2022, Crosby physically assaulted the victim causing her to fall to the ground during an argument.
