School Threat Investigation

Perry County- School resumes Friday morning at Southern Local in Perry County, but with an increased presence from the sheriff’s office.

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating recent threats made on social media. Authorities said they do not believe the threats are credible, but said out of caution they will increase the presence at the school.

The case remains active and detectives continue to work leads. Anyone with information should contact Deputy Ruck.
