OAZ Players of the Week: Playoff Edition
We’re coming down to the wire in the OHSAA Playoffs for both boys and girls basketball. Here is a look at the OAZ players of the game in last week’s action.
Jamisyn Stinson out of Sheridan was awarded a player of the game honor for her game against Carrolton. The MVL Player of the Year had 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 steals in the Generals’ 59-42 victory.
Next in boys hoops, John Glenn’s Senior Noah Winland was the player of the game in the Muskies’ game against East Liverpool. Despite the loss, Winland had 10 points to go along with 4 assists in his final game for the team.
The third OAZ winner or winners are from Maysville’s win over Minerva. Senior Alex Bobb led the way with 22 points, Senior Wesley Armstead added 20 points and Junior Guard Gator Nichols had 19 to help Maysville pick up the 74-64 win.
The fourth and final honor goes to Tri-Valley Scotties Senior Center Erik Neal. He had 15 points in a 49-42 win over New Philadelphia.
