Heath Machete Slaying Investigated

A bond hearing is set in Licking County for a man who police say killed his father with a machete. 

Heath Police says 32-year-old Adam Runyons Jr. is charged with murder.  They say he called a relative and confessed to chopping up his 51-year-old father, Adam Runyons Sr.  A bloody machete was found in a sink at the home. 

Neighbors tell reporters that Runyons Jr. had moved in with his father and the father’s preschool-aged son in Heath last month  after being released from prison.  The younger Runyons had served 11 months for assaulting a peace officer.
